On September 23 to27, Yang Zhenning, a member of the school Party Committee and vice president of SDAEU, and a group of five visited South Korea. They visited four universities including Hansei University, Dankook University, Howon University, and Jeonju University, and achieved fruitful results.
The delegation first visited Hansei University, greeted the international students of our school, and held talks with the president of Hansei University, Jin Shenghui, and the person in charge of the International Exchange Office. Both parties agreed that the two universities have a good foundation for cooperation, and that we should further strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and conducted detailed negotiations andachieved agreement on a joint training program for Management majors (2+1+2) students.
At the two campuses of Dankook University, the delegation held talks with Han Zhenghan, Directorof International Exchange Office, Song Yuanjing,Director of the School of Life and Resources Sciences.Both parties conductedan in-depth discussionon the cooperation of life resource science,and reached an agreement on the “Agreement on the Top-up program between the Green Landscaping of Dankook University of South Korea and the Garden Technology the Shandong Agriculture and Engineering University of China”.
The delegation met with the president of Howon University, Jiang Xicheng, Vice President Xu Weixi,and other relative directors. The two sides first expressed their deep friendship established through long-term cooperation, and hoped to strengthen the cooperation, learn from each other and improve together. The two sides also discussed the details of the“2019 International Design Works Exchange Exhibition” jointly hold by the two universities and reached an agreement.
The delegation held talks with Liu Douxuan,director of the Graduate School of Jeonju University, and director of the International Exchange Office. They communicated in detail the professional characteristics of doctoral training, and formed the program of the “Doctoral Training Program of Jeonju Universityof South Korea”. The two sides also held talks on the joint master’s degree program between the two sides,conducted detailed discussions on the selection method of master's supervisors, and the “Joint-Supervision Agreement for Graduate Education of Shandong Agriculture and Engineering University of China and Jeonju Universityof South Korea”, and formed preliminary opinions.
During the visit, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the above-mentioned university leaders and management departments. They met with managers and heads of departments and subjects at all levels of the schools, conducted multi-level cooperation discussions, and investigated various teaching and research facilities such as key laboratories,reached cooperation intentions in various aspects such as joint training of students, mutual visits of teachers, establishment of international scientific research cooperation platforms, and training of senior talents, and formed a number of cooperation agreements and programs.
This visit further promoted the cooperation and exchange between our school and Korean schools, expanded the school’s influence in the region, and built a higher platform for the international education of schools and expanded a wider space. Relevant departments of the school will implement the results of this visit detail by detail, and do a good job of all follow-up works in a comprehensive and timely manner.
