On the morning of November 15th, the Qihe County High-Quality Farmer Skills Training Course undertaken by our school started successfully. Zhang Yeshang, deputy secretary of the school party committee, Xie De'an, member of the Standing Committee of the Qihe County Party Committee and director of the Publicity Department, Wang Faming, party secretary and director of the Qihe County Agricultural and Rural Bureau, and Zhang Lihong, a member of the Qihe County Agricultural and Rural Bureau and director of the Agricultural Technology Service Center attended the event. More than 100 students attended the opening ceremony.

Xie De’an expressed his gratitude to our school for hosting the training task, and pointed out that Qihe County, as a traditional agricultural county, achieved nineteen consecutive harvests year of grain production this year. The county party committee and county government have always attached great importance to agricultural production, taking the implementation of rural revitalization as the general starting point of the "agriculture, rural areas, and rural residents" work, and carried out various types of projects to strengthen and benefit agriculture, constantly promoting agricultural efficiency, farmers' income and rural prosperity. He emphasized that the key to realizing the development of modern agriculture lies in the cultivation of high-quality farmers, and the focus is on improving the quality and ability of high-quality farmers. The trainees should fully understand the importance of training, obey discipline, listen carefully, apply what they have learned, and strive to improve the training effect.

Zhang Yeshang expressed his gratitude to the Qihe County Party Committee and County Government for their support for the development of the school. He pointed out that how to achieve an effective connection between comprehensive poverty alleviation and rural revitalization is a new and important task in front of us. He emphasized that the training work should be based on the requirements of modern agricultural development, according to the training needs of farmers, optimize curriculum settings, innovate training methods, and teach by layers and classifications, accelerate the cultivation of a group of high-quality farmers who have culture, know technology, be good at management, and be able to manage. In the next step, the school should continue to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with schools and local places, give full play to the resource advantages of agricultural universities, and continuously improve the ability to serve regional economic and social development, so as to make positive contributions to promoting the modernization of agriculture and rural areas and promoting the high-quality development of modern agriculture.

The professional skills training class for high-quality farmers is hosted by Qihe County Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau and undertaken by the School of Cadres Training. It is mainly for high-quality farmers in the county, and more than 500 people have be trained in 2021. The training involves many fields of planting and aquaculture, covering crop planting technology, green control of pests and diseases, facility vegetable management, agricultural product quality and safety, livestock and poultry breeding and product processing, etc. The training adopts a combination of classroom lectures and on-site teaching, aiming to improve the skills of farmers and play an active role in increasing farmers' income and making them rich. In recent years, the school has actively integrated into the local area, actively leveraged its advantages in talents and technology, and made positive contributions to local economic and social development through the training of practical technical personnel in rural areas.
