From July 22nd to 24th, President Wang XiKui was invited to attend the2019 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week “Opportunity, Challenge and Win-Win Cooperation”--China-Thailand Higher Education Collaboration under the “Belt & Road” and “Thailand 4.0”, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Thai cooperative universities under the organization and witness of the China Education Association for International Exchange(CEAIE). Members of the International Exchange and Cooperation College and other departments attended the event.
On the 22nd, the opening ceremony of the2019 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week was held in the permanent place—the third floor of theColorful Guizhou Hall. Guizhou Provincial GovernorShen YiQin, Vice Minister of Education Tian XueJun, 2019 ASEAN Chairman on duty and relevant deployment leaders from Cambodia, Laos, Singapore, Myanmar, Malaysia attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. The ceremony was presided by theVice-Governor of Guizhou, Wei GuoNan, the president of our school, Wang XiKui, alsoattended the opening ceremony as a honored guest.
On the 23rd, President Wang XiKui attended the Signing Ceremony for China-Thailand University Cooperation Agreements, and signed the MOU with Mr. Pornchai Mongkhonvanit, President of the Siam University of Thailand, and strategic cooperation agreement with Ms.Chutima Chavasint, Executive Vice President of North-Chiang Mai University,Thailand, under the witness of Zhao LingShan, Vice President and Secretary General of CEAIE, Palunu Jingpo, Director of the Vocational Education Supervision and Evaluation Bureau of the Ministry of Education of Thailand, Montree Pongpan, Chairman of the Asian-International Trade and Investment Association, and so on.The signing of the agreements is of great significance to the implementation of the “Belt&Road” development measures of our school, the expansion of cooperation between ourschool and Thai universities, and the substantive cooperation.
It is reported that the 2019 China-ASEANE ducation Cooperation Week was held in Guizhou, China on July 22nd to26th, 2019, with the theme of “Deepening Pragmatic Cooperation and Sharing Development Achievements”. Since 2008,which has been successfully held in Guizhou, China for 11 consecutive years as the main platform for education exchange between China and ASEAN countries. The 2019 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week was co-sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese Ministry of Education, and the Guizhou Provincial People's Government. It was hosted by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Education and the Guizhou Foreign Affairs Office.
