On the afternoon of June 2, the inaugural meeting and the first member representative meeting of the Federation of Social Sciences(FSS) of SDAEU were successfully held. Zhang Weihong,member of the Party group and vice chairman of Shandong Federation of Social Sciences(SFSS),Ding Xibin, Secretary of the Party committee of SDAEU,Li Jinjing, deputy secretary of the school Party committee and President, Yang Zhenning, member of the school Party committee and vice president,Sun Huihai, member of the school Party committee and director of the Organization Department, and Zheng Huamei, member of the school Party committee and director of the Publicity Department attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Yang Zhenning.
At the meeting,Zhang Weihong and Ding Xibin jointly unveiled the "Federation of Social Sciences of Shandong Agriculture and Engineering University". Relevant responsible members of the SFSS read out the reply on Approving the FSS of SDAEU as a group member of the SFSS, and Li Jinjing read out the decision of the Committee of SDAEU of the CPC on establishing the FSS, Zheng Huamei, the preparatory group for the Meeting, made a report on the preparatory work of the FSS of SDAEU.
The Inaugural Meeting deliberated and adopted the articles of FSS of SDAEU, and elected the members of the first committee of the FSS of SDAEU; The first committee meeting of the FSS of SDAEU was held, and the candidates for the presidium of the FSS were elected. Ding Xibin was elected as the chairman,Li Jinjing, Zhang Yeshang, Yang Zhenning and Zheng Huamei were elected as vice chairmen,Zheng Huamei was also elected as the general secretary,and Chen Hao was elected as the deputy general secretary.
Ding Xibin pointed out that the establishment of the FSS of SDAEU is a major event in the construction of the university's organizations and a milestone in the development of the university's philosophy and social science research. The FSS of the university is a bridge and link between the social scientists of SDAEU and the Party committee of SDAEU, and between the social sciences of theschool and the SFSS and the social sciences of the whole province. It is an important embodiment of the social sciences of the university to recognize their own development laws, shoulder social responsibilities and promote the development of theuniversity. He stressed that the school philosophy and social science research work should do a good job in the following five aspects: first, hold high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics and firmly grasp the correct direction of social science work; The second is to continuously strengthen theoretical innovation and vigorously improve the research ability and innovation ability of philosophy and social sciences of the school; Thirdly, closely centering on the functions of colleges and universities, we should give full play to the important role of philosophy andsocialsciences in talent training; Fourth, facing the new needs of economic and social development, vigorously enhance the ability of philosophy and social sciences to serve social practice; Fifth, give full play to the role of the FSS as a bridge and link, and actively create a good atmosphere for the prosperity and development of philosophy and social sciences.
In her speech,Zhang Weihong congratulated on the establishment of the FSS of SDAEU and fully affirmed the achievements made in the development of philosophy and social sciences of our university in recent years. Zhang Weihong put forward three hopes and requirements for the FSS of our university: first, we should grasp the correct direction of the work of philosophy and social sciences; Second, we should make clear the main responsibilities and tasks of the FSS; Third, we should constantly strengthen the self construction of the FSS in schools.
