Recently, the acceptance meeting of Shandong 2017 Major Agricultural Application Technology Innovation Project “Innovation and Demonstration of Manure Treatment and Processing Technology for Small and Medium-Sized Sheep Farms” undertaken by Professor Dong Chuanhe of our school was heldsuccessfully. The meeting was hosted by Shandong Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau, and nine experts from Shandong Agricultural University, Liaocheng University, Shandong Animal Husbandry Station, Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and other units formed an expert group to check and accept the project. Professor Yang Zhenning, member of the School Party Committee and vice president, attended the meeting and gave a speech. Related members from the Science and Research Office, the School of Agriculture Science and Technology and the research group attended the meeting.

The acceptance experts group listened to the project work report, technical report, economic benefit analysis report and project financial audit results and conclusions, carefully reviewed relevant materials, raised relevant questions, and raised the detailed answers of the task group. Finally, the experts group agreed that the technical information provided by the research group is complete, accurate and credible, and meets the acceptance requirements, the project funds are in place, the special account is managed, and the use is reasonable and standardized, and the task indicators specified in the contract have been successfully completed,and all of the group members agreed to pass the acceptance.

The project “Innovation and Demonstration of Manure Treatment and Processing Technology for Small and Medium-Sized Sheep Farms” screened out two high-efficiency cellulose degrading strains, optimized composting conditions, developed one technology for rapid decomposing of sheep manure, developed a sheep manure pellet organic fertilizer production line and a mobile sheep manure collection bag fermentation production line, assembled and integrated sheep manure organic fertilizer granulation technology and large-scale sheep farm pollution comprehensive control technology, established three demonstration bases, and produced 32 tons of sheep manuregranular organic fertilizerannually, published one paper, formulated one local standard, declared six patents,three authorized, and trained 150 relevant technical personnel. In Shandong, about 25 million sheep are slaughtered each year, and the amount of sheep feces excreted is about 40 million tons. Through the implementation and promotion of this project, the sheep manure can be effectively treated and converted into granular organic fertilizer. According to the current market price of 300-500 yuan/ton, it can generate huge economic benefits of 10 billion yuan.

In his concluding speech, Yang Zhenning pointed out that the major agricultural application technology innovation topic in Shandong is to accelerate the conversion of the old and new kinetic energy of agriculture in our province, help build a model for rural revitalization, and strive to solve the technical bottlenecks and key problems that restrict the high-quality development of agriculture in our province, provide strong support for the solid implementation of the rural revitalization strategy. Our school has undertaken ten such topics in recent years, which symbolizes the improvement of our school's ability to serve the development of local industries. It is hoped that all project team must integrate with the actual production, strengthen scientific research, complete research tasks on time with high quality, and at the same time pay attention to increasing promotion efforts, promoting the transformation of results, and further improving the ability of our school to serve the society and local, and contribute the wisdom of our school to promote the high-quality development of agriculture in Shandong.
