On March 4, the Education Department of Shandong announced the results of the recognition of first-class undergraduate courses of Shandong in 2019. Nine courses of our school were identified as first-class undergraduate courses at the provincial level, and the number of selected courses ranked at the forefront among similar universities in the province.

In recent years, ourschool has thoroughly implemented the spirit of the National Education Conference and the New Age National Undergraduate Education Work Conference, attaches great importance to curriculum construction, and has strived to create five “golden courses”. Focusing on curriculum construction, we vigorously implemented the “Three Excellent Projects” (Excellent Subjects, Excellent Majors, Excellent Courses) construction plan, and promoted the “New Agricultural Science”, “New Engineering Science” reform, ideological and political education teaching reform, blended teaching reform,comprehensive reform of classroom teaching, reform of examination and assessment methods, and other reforms, organized a variety of teaching skills competitions such as micro-courses competition, young teachers teaching competition, and moral education teaching competition, and organized teachers to participate in training activities such as blended teaching, moral education, and first-class courses construction and others, introduced some teaching platforms such as Chaoxing Fanya, built high-standard smart classrooms, established a series of teaching incentive policies, and invested nearly 2 million yuan each year to reward teachers. The combination of multiple measures has greatly stimulated teachers’ enthusiasm for teaching, strongly promoted curriculum reform and innovation in teaching methods, enhanced the high-level, innovative and challenging content of the curriculum, and promoted the steady improvement of teaching quality. The approval of the 9 courses this time is a full affirmation of our school’s previous teaching work.

Our school will take thistime to obtain provincial first-class undergraduate courses as an opportunity, continue to adhere to the cultivation of talents as the center, continue to strengthen the position of teaching center, give full play to the leading role of “first-class courses”, and strive to create more first-class courses withhigh-quality, diversity, The course construction will promote the overall improvement of the talent cultivation ability and quality of the university, and lay a solid foundation for promoting the construction of high-level application-oriented undergraduates.
